2013, IT Ability to Produce 5.8 Million New Jobs

5.8 million new jobs will be created from the IT industry in 2013
San Francisco - Technology Information believed to be able to create new jobs over the next four years.

IDC predicts, IT industry will become the locomotive of economic progress. The industry is expected to create 75,000 new business units until later in 2013. This means that every year employment will increase 3 percent annually.

"In avoiding the current economic slump, innovative technology will have an important role that will support productivity and enable the creation of new local businesses. This will make IT can create jobs and support sustainable economic growth," said Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was quoted as saying through the AFP, Tuesday (6/10/2009).



This IDC research conducted on the initiative of Microsoft to mengetahu IT industry effects involving 52 countries. These results represent a 98 percent global IT conditions. In fact, these findings also indicate the condition of IT spending across the world.

IDC estimates that IT spending in 52 countries will grow at least 3 percent per year, or three times higher as earnings bruta between this year and the year 2013.

What is interesting for Microsoft, IDC also reported findings that most IT spending will be contributed by the purchase of software. Software purchase costs would increase approximately 4.8 percent per year.

"IT does give us the opportunity to do things better and software is one thing that supports the development of IT," said Corporate Affairs Manager of Microsoft Communcation Scott Selby. (srn)
